We are in a rural area and everyone is not able to attend every meeting.  The DVD's are used at the center and in their homes on the days they cannot attend classes. We are very happy with the results of tai chi as it is not stressful to the joints and muscles yet we get better balance, range of motion and more energy.

In December of 2009 we had a training seminarwith Suman Barkhas master Instructor of Tai Chi for Better balance in Casper, Wyoming. As the owner of the Wyoming Center for Dizziness and Balance, I felt that this would be a nice adjunct to exercise programs we were already offering our clients. Since that seminar we have been able to start 3 Tai Chi classes that have almost 15 participants in each. If we had the time we would be able to offer  more class classes. Participants are expressing that they are more energetic, have better balance, have better strength and overall a better sense of well being and relaxation. The outcomes from these classes have been astounding and each participant plans to continue with any classes we offer. We are also offering one to one Tai Chi sessions for our balance and dizziness patients and they are also able to enjoy the benefits without having to be in a large group.

Suman's yoga and meditation classes have changed my life. Feeling better physically has helped me to feel better mentally. I work in the stock market industry which is a fast pace, mentally demanding job. For a long time I had a difficult time managing the pressure. However, through yoga and meditation I have learned to gain perspective on what is actually important. I cope with the stress better which allows me to spend less time frustrated. I am more efficient because my attention is not divided. I am able to focus completely on my work and the work itself feels easier.

I am very pleased with the 10 weeks of Tai Chi. It helped me to feel relaxed and yet stronger and more balanced. I am delighted that my nagging sciatic pain has gone away completely, and my stiff, sore shoulder now has increased range of motion and less pain. Since I began Suman's class 7 weeks ago, my strength and flexibility have increased dramatically.  After the first 2 sessions, I was hooked.  I have problems with my knee due to an accident.  Suman's approach stretches, strengthens and soothes deep muscles and tendons to respond.  I will continue under his tutelage  and would encourage anyone to join.
